World's Financial crisis spreading to productive sectors ?

Today World's Financial crisis has posed a severe threat to the Productive sectors.

The recession that lies by the West on Wednesday made a fresh wave of job in Italy and Spain and collapsed oil below 45 dollars in this market, while in the Eurozone was expected on Thursday cut rates by the European Central Bank.

Despite a new day filled with news that presage a recession increasingly difficult to tackle, the bags hold the rate on Wednesday, with modest increases widespread in Europe and the United States.

The economic crisis led to a further drop in crude prices in London, who half-time were placed below 45 dollars a barrel for the first time since February 2005, before rising fears of a contraction in demand.

The 15 euro zone countries and Britain waited two decisions on Thursday from the European Central Bank and the Bank of England, which could cut its interest rates, giving oxygen to national economies.

Also on Thursday, the French president, Nicolas Sarkozy, are behind a package of 20.000 billion euros (25.000 billion dollars) considered vital for the automotive industry, consumption and housing.

Uruguay on Wednesday announced measures to "soften" the impact of the crisis, with investment incentives and support to the productive and export sectors, although he ruled out a recession for 2009, projecting a GDP growth of 3%, against 10.5 % In 2008.

Shangai center to become one of the highest skyscrappers of the world

The construction of The Shanghai Center began in China November 29. The supertall skyscraper will become China’s highest building, the nation’s People.com reports.

The new gigantic tower will rise 632 meters up in the sky in the Pudong District of Shanghai. The skyscraper will be complete in 2014. The project is evaluated at 14.8 billion yuans, or about $2.17 billion.

There are two supertall skyscrapers in Shanghai’s Pudong already – 420.5 and 492 meters respectively.

Designed by Gensler, an American firm, the new landmark will twist as it rises and be surrounded by an outer glass wall, China’s Xinhua news agency reports.

"The building is designed to be environmental friendly," said Wang Wei, the director of the Engineering Center for Green Construction, Ministry of Construction.

The design by Gensler termed "Dragon" was chosen from many candidates in June. The 128-storeyed tower will feature nine gardens between the main building and the glass wall. A public park will also be in the building. It will be the tallest building in China and one of the tallest buildings in the world.

The tower will be organised as nine cylindrical buildings stacked atop each other, enclosed by the glass façade's inner layer. Between that and the outer layer, which twists as it rises, nine indoor gardens at different levels will provide public space for Shanghai residents. Both layers of the façade will be transparent, and retail and event spaces will be provided at the tower's base. The tower will feature the world's highest non-enclosed observation deck.

The tower's Director of Design, Marshall Strabala of Gensler, told E-Architect.co.uk architectural news website that Shanghai Tower will represent "China's dynamic future." "It will be an impressive building where China looks ahead to both the future of this bustling and ever-changing metropolis, but also to the future of the dynamic Chinese spirit. There will be no other such unique and well-conceived tower in the world," said Strabala.

It is worthy of note that the jungles of skyscrapers in Shanghai may result in the soil settlement on the entire territory of the city, Chinese scientists say.

The problem of flooding has always been one of the most serious problems for Shanghai. Nowadays, when the construction density in the city is about to reach the critical level, one should not exclude a possibility for the ground to settle. As a result , Shanghai may be flooded .

Shanghai normally pumps water and uses it in technical needs due to the high industrialization of the city. This method has recently been put into question.

Back to School Dhoni ?

And Dhoni is back to school, not to school but to college. He has joined B.Com earlier this year at St.Xavier College, and he has skipped his I semster exams though he was in Ranchi.

The first semester examination of the St. Xavier college started on Monday and Dhoni, despite being in Ranchi, skipped it. According to sources close to his family, the cricketer was not prepared to take the exam due to his busy sporting schedule. He has just finished playing the one-day series against England.

In view of his hectic cricketing schedule, the St. Xavier college management has decided to make special arrangements for him and will hand over books and course material to his family members.

"We are planning to give special assignments to Dhoni so that he can prepare himself managing time from his busy schedule. A special examination will be conducted for him," Father Nicoloas Tete, principal of St. Xavier college told reporters here.

According to college authorities, Dhoni has not attended any classes after he took admission in the college as he was busy playing matches for India.

Sources in the college management said that Dhoni may even be allowed to take the exam online like in distance education courses.

Dhoni arrived in Ranchi Friday after the last two One Day matches against England were cancelled in light of the terror attacks in Mumbai. He was here for four days and left for Kolkata on Monday evening.

Obama on Mumbai attacks and terrorism

US President-elect Barack Obama on Monday said Americans stand with the people of India "in this dark time" after the Mumbai attacks and asserted that his incoming administration was "absolutely committed to eliminating the threat of terrorism".

"In the world we seek, there's no place for those who kill innocent civilians to advance hateful extremism," he said at a press conference to name the new members in his cabinet, including Hillary Clinton as the Secretary of State.

"As we learned so painfully on 9/11, terror cannot be contained by borders, nor safety provided by oceans alone... Last week, we were reminded of this threat once again when terrorists took the lives of six Americans among nearly 200 victims in Mumbai," Obama said.

The first African-American President of the US, who will take charge on January 20 next year, noted that he had called Prime Minister Manmohan Singh this weekend.

"I told Prime Minister Singh that Americans stand with the people of India in this dark time. And I am confident that India's great democracy is more resilient than killers who would tear it down," he added.

America's national security challenges are as grave and urgent as that of the economic crisis, he said and maintained that his incoming administration was "absolutely committed to eliminating the threat of terrorism."

Mumbai returns to Normal life

Not even a week after the Terror attack, the business capital of India had returned to Normal life. This should be a great moment for them to get united.

Many are praying for the Dead, while the others felt happy that they were survived by God's Grace.

Pope had already condemned the terror attack in Mumbai at vatican city. Many other leaders have already condemned the terror attack.

One of the News agency has told that the Intelligence agency has found some important material which ensures that the Terrorists were from Pakistan only.

One of the Pakistan leader's meeting with Manmohan Singh will be the key factor in the investigation.

Indian forces kill the last terrorist at Mumbai

I think this is a fascinating moment for the whole country. They have made everyone feel proud of their country. Atleast 200 were killed which includes several commandos and around 7 foreigners.

Indian External and Internal Affairs ministry were very clear that the loss should be as minimal as possible. This is the first time that India has experienced the Street Terrorism. India has paid homage to most of those in this world. What Dr.Manmohan Singh is going to do now. Not even an year to go for the Lok Sabha Elections, it would be interesting to see How this Dr reacts to this attack !
