Its gonna rain today

It has always been like this. Metrological department usually get it all wrong everytime and they inform the state government to declare holiday for all schools. As a part of the unspoken agreement with the rain god and our metrological dept, there won’t be any rain.
Now, why would I bother about it and blog it?. I have a reason too. Kids. Kids. Kids. Man o Man, you have to have a lot of patience to endure the noise they make. Nearly 16 shorties came and played cricket, making quite a racket. I had no other choice than to endure it. When it was 6 pm and rain started, they adjourned. Man, was I at peace atlast!!

Waiting for 2.7 version

Looks like the much awaited Wordpress 2.7 will be released some time later. Vivek said to me a few days ago that Wordpress 2.7 will be released on November 10th. No signs of it though.. False alarm, perhaps, fellow geek?

Meanwhile, it is in Beta testing, stage 2. Already lots of fixes and improvements are being suggested by the people who are actively invovled in the testing (I am not a part of it though. Like Wp 2.6 a lot better). Lets see if we get good news soon. In any case, I will let Vivek to try out the new WP and then proceed to use it.

Believe it or not ?

Call me insane..dont believe me…but I am sure I saw an UFO(Unidentified Flying Object)…just now!!!!!!!! Time : 21:15 hours.
I just now took Labbie out for a walk and the moon was bright. It was present above me , a little to the left. Then, suddenly, I saw a bright light appear for a second behind the tree, to my right side! I thought it must have been my imagination and left it. A few seconds later, I again saw the bright light, to my right side…as bright as the moon! It was there for a second and then POOF..gone! It felt weird…!
Then, I turned left and there it happened!!! I saw it!!! Have you ever seen the series bulb that are hung from marriage halls?? The ones hat alternatively glow and switch off…well..Relatively, there were four lights..each of them glowing once…all the while moving and then no lights for less than a second and then, same sequence..4 lights..each glowed for once, while moving and then no light…
And I know that it is not a comet nor a meteor nor a shooting star…neither it is a plane nor a helicopter…Sadly, I did not take the cell phone with me to take a video of it!!!

Destroying Earth part-II

What is wrong with us? Selfish,arrogant…(not everyone though)! Population explosion - the major reason! More people, more the requirements, and so more the resources needed. More trees are cut and the forests are cleared to build houses! Pollution is on the increase because more vehicles are manufactured every year. I know that there is the emission control to check the efficiency of the vehicle’s exhaust and all but sadly, many seem not to bother about the exhaust…some MTC buses and other vehicles. Then there is this excessive mining…for ore and petroleum and other resources! Green house gases are also gathering in numbers and heating up the Earth! The ice(blue ice from Arctic and Antarctic) are beginning to crack and fall into the sea(blue ice is the oldest form of ice…blue in color…they are as strong as they can get yet as brittle as a glass!) The falling into the see over the years will also increase sea level and low lying towns cities countries will be submerged! ( I know of one country that is below sea level…was below…The Netherlands). Have I left out something? As mentioned in my previous post, animals are hunted! What rights have we to kill them? They have all the rights to live on the Earth as much as we do!
The reverse process is a long slow one, but attainable. Plant more trees…It helps to check the level of pollution and also increases the area for fauna to live…more trees = more fauna!

Extinct Animals-Kindly preserve them !

I’ll try and give a few species of animals and sadly, bird(s) who are on the verge of extinction because of us!
Tiger:
The tigers are poached for their skin. Tigers are shot dead and their skins are taken and sold in the black market at a high price ….all because WE want to decorate OUR home! If the forest rangers do catch the poachers, all they do is burn the skin so as to disable the poachers to sell it in the market, but they cant be active all the time…the hunters do manage to find their way and kill more tigers!
Rhinos:
The horns of the rhinoceros are said to have medicinal values and also are used for decorating(in what is called aesthetic sense!) One of the defenses that the rhinos have is the long horn, besides their skin and their bulky body. Cut them off and how will they protect themselves and their offspring? The forest rangers use tranquilizers to sedate the rhinos, cut their horns in order to stop the poachers from killing them! Their numbers are dwindling….but for now, due to the wild life specialists, their population is goingup…veryslowly!
Sharks:
The king of the sea(counting dolphins out, if you ask me) is hunted for their fins…and they eat it!!! UGH!(some shark fin soup)…Once, in the discovery channel, they showed a small clip of a jerk shooting a caught shark, rite in the face using a shot gun(close proximity) this is totally insane and inhumane! .
HummingBirds:
Can you believe it? Even the humming birds are hunted for their colorful end of the feathers. They were hunted so vigorously that about 3 to 5 of their existing species have been declared extinct!!!
Sad…very sad indeed. And all this because WE need attraction to our home…selfishness…I wish the poachers would stop killing the animals…and even if they do, i would like the rangers to kill the poachers the instant they see the poachers in action…they dont deserve mercy!
Elephants are killed for their tusks. Many other big cats such as cheetah, jaguar, leopard are killed for their skin and bears too are killed for the same reason!

Destroying Earth Part-I

Of all the planets found so far, inside and outside the solar system, the only planet fit enough to support life is Planet Earth. Ample water, best protection from harmful rays coming from the space is provided by the layers of the atmosphere, the presence of atmosphere to support life forms, etc. Over the years, Earth has perfected itself in all the ways possible!
But now? Due to a species called Homosapians, it is being unperfected! We destroy acres of trees, hunt animals, pollute the environment

Another DBZ story

Who was born in the world of DragonBallZ with a power level of 10,000? Whose name had spread fear into the heart of the Prince of all saiyans, Vegeta? Who was it to reach the Legendary Super Saiyan state for the first one and also to be the last one? His name is Broly, son of Paragus.
King Vegeta, father of Vegeta ordered Paragus to kill Broly because of his power level. Paragus out of fear of the King, tried to stab Broly. And stabbed him! a little baby!. At the same time, Bardock, father of Goku reached Planet Vegeta with the news that Frieza was about to destroy the saiyans once and for all. But no one believed him. And Bardock took matters into his own hands! He tried to defeat Frieza by himself.(Frieza, fearing the growing power of the saiyans planned to destroy Planer Vegeta and all the saiyans in it) Bardock, injured heavily from his previous mission did not care to wait…he took on frieza’s army and then Frieza himself showed up. Frieza then prepared a death beam and launched it at the planet…boom! Just before the beam hit the planet, two things happened!
The saiyans put Goku into a space pod and sent him to Earth.
Broly, injured, made a barrier and transported his father and himself into some other planet
All the saiyans died except Goku, Prince Vegeta(who was inside Frieza’s space ship), Nappa, Raditz(Goku’s brother), Broly, Paragus and a bunch of other saiyans…Broly took Paragus into the southern galaxy where the power levels were masked by the energy of the stars(maybe..) until one day, Paragus came and took Vegeta back to the new planet vegeta to rule them as King. Vegeta, future trunks, gohan and the gang(save goku) went to the new planet. Goku was at king kai’s place, who learnt abt the legendary super saiyan and was eager to fight him.
Skipping to the part of fight, Vegeta was afraid to fight Broly. Goku eagerly took matters into his hand, but couldnt beat Broly…then with the combined effort of Vegeta, Future Trunks, Gohan, Picollo…who all gave Goku their energy, was able to give a single punch to Broly;s stomach and Broly died! Oh yeah…broly crushed his father in a space ship… Paragus’s plan was to invite all the remaining saiyans to the new planet because a large meteor was headed its way and was sure to destroy it! The inhabitants of the planet were rescued by Goku and Picollo and the gang.
Think this is the end? No way…not for the Legendary Super Saiyan. He came to earth, badly injured and was frozen! And again…skipping some scenes…Goten, Goku’s second son cried making Broly remember the time when Goku kept crying when they were a baby and enraged, broke free of the ice. Chibi Trunks and Goten took broly on, but two little super saiyans were no match for Broly. Who comes to the rescue? Gohan…he too wasnt much of a challange but indeed put on a great fight…Finally…the climax…broly’s omega blaster(i think thats what it is called) vs Gohan’s kamehameha…broly was winning…Goten assisted his brother…some support for gohan…but the lssj(legendary supersaiyanjin) kept increasing the power of the beam…over powered…goten wished in his heart that “father..i wish you were here”..voila…goku was there…(point to be noted here is goten and chibi trunks had collected the 7 dragon balls) father-sons-kamehameha vs omega blaster…woowviee….for a moment, the trio were about to loose…thanks to goku who urged his sons to let go of their fear, they over powered the lssj and sent him to the sun where his heart exploded and he died!
Flaw : The dragon was never summoned..then how was Goten’s wish fulfilled?
oh yeah…the blood from broly, that was in the ice was taken as a sample and sent to a mad scientist who cloned broly..bio broly…but lolz..he was defeated by chibi trunks and goten!
